Pranayama
Pranayama is a discipline of practice and inquiry within Yoga, concerned with breath and the larger understanding of prāṇa. Its methods may involve observing, shaping, or suspending the breath, but a technique alone does not explain the discipline. How a practice is introduced, developed, adapted, and understood matters as much as its mechanics.
At PRANAYAMA.COM, becoming pranayama fluent means learning to practice with discernment: understanding the principles behind a method, observing its effects, asking what it serves, and recognizing when a different approach—or no technique at all—is appropriate. We also examine physiology and contemporary research while keeping the traditional language and purposes of pranayama in view.
