Hi Friend,
My short, heart felt message for this evening.
I’ve had the privilege of spending a lot of time at Spirit Rock listening to Jack Kornfield speak. As I have mentioned before, I was a carpenter up in San Francisco and Mill Valley in the late 80s and early 90s.
As I reflect back upon those times, I feel a deep grounding and a sincere sense of love. I can’t urge my listeners here enough to reach out to people that move you. They are probably far more willing to speak to you, even if just for a few moments, than you think.
These days, I find a tremendous amount of joy following my friend, Henry Shukman. I’m excited to announce he will be in Amsterdam this coming August 17. I’m hoping to make it, but it will be tight because I will be in Japan in September! Here is a link to that information on his website: Henry Shukman in Amsterdam.

by Nadia Murad
Nadia Murad shared the Noble Peace Prize in 2018 with Denis Mukwege.
A mysterious person left a well read, dog eared version of this book on my porch the other day. Such a powerful true story of immense courage.
I have not made the time to read the book, but I’ve taken a serious stance on listening to the audiobook.
I’m happy to see that this audible book is narrated by
Ilyana Kadushin. She is an excellent narrator. She also narrated The Twilight Saga which I loved.
