Just got back a few days ago from road trip. Traveled up the California Coast to Bandon, Oregon where I dropped off a friend that had been traveling with me. He has a house and quite a bit of land there, so the timing was perfect for him to jump in the truck with me & trade stories…
From there, I continued up the coast of Oregon then over Bend, Oregon to help a friend troubleshoot the ins and outs of buying a home. Then on to Missoula, Helena, Bozeman and Three Forks Montana where I met with friends and took care of some long-overdue business.
Then on down to S. Yellowstone and The Grand Tetons which as usual, just stopped my heart. Wow, so powerful.
Then over to Telluride Colorado for a day or so to take care of some business for SunRiver Legends and soak in Orvis Hot Springs (Ridgway, CO) not so far away.
From there dropped down into Sedona, Arizona.
That route from Colorado to Arizona was truly magical. I could’ve spent a month on that trail… of course I had to get some time in with the South Rim (Grand Canyon) on the way 🙂 Which was different than what it was 45 years ago. OK I’m the one that has changed.
Once I hooked into I-8 East it was a straight ride home.
Woke up in my own bed and headed straight down to Stone Steps to go for a long swim in the ocean.
Mother Earth has the answers to everything if you listen.
