2Rt Mate Tuesday

Hi friend,

My condolences to all of those experiencing the horrible fires we have going on up north in LA.

As a child we lived part time in our school bus and mobile home at the top of Rambla Pacifico Rd., in the Santa Monica Mountains, Malibu. We went to school with Bob Dylan’ daughter Maria Dylan, Sean Penn etc.. I still have close friends up there that have just lost their home(s) (Stuart Etlin) for one, the pain is overwhelming to say the least.

My father moved us down from “On Top Of The World” to our house in Cardiff By The Sea because of the fires back then and the exorbitant cost of fire insurance.

I have quite a story of running into Neil Young on Zuma Beach during sunset when I was a young man or was I a little boy?
Another time maybe.

This Week’s Read:

The River Of Doubt: Theodore Roosevelt’s Darkest Journey by Candice Millard

An absolutely thrilling read, from beginning to end.

Theodore Roosevelt’s cure to a humiliating presidential defeat is one I can most certainly understand. The Amazon in the 1913-1914? OK

But what really takes the read to the moon is Cândido Mariano da Silva Rondon. Wow! Just over the top. Read this article on him here if you think you don’t have time to read the book, it may just change your mind: Badass of the Week

Things I’ve Learned:

The Cancel Culture, Gaslighting and Defamation Lawsuits are skyrocketing. It’s become yet another epidemic to deal with. Learning how to not take things personally is one of the best mindsets you can cultivate for yourself.

It just happens to be one of my superpowers of course after years of hard work.

  1. Get to know yourself really well.
  2. Learn the basics of Social Behavioral Patterns.
  3. Tap in to Jefferson Fisher. This GuyInstagram
