Hi friend,

Do you ever think it’s Monday when it’s actually Tuesday?
Thank you for your patience with this late newsletter and thank you for all the love and kindness you pass back to me.

Let’s start it off with one of the key questions that I’m asked by the bold.

Do you really have 7000 people on your newsletter list?
And the answer is no. There are over 7000 people now.

It’s quite expensive to keep that machine running smoothly and no, the majority of all those people are not in the US (by design) and most certainly not in Southern California/San Diego/Encinitas.

For those of you that stayed with me all these years and those of you that have just joined, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Things I’ve Learned

Our latest post on Facebook seems to have resonated with a few people.
We hope it rings true for you too.

Don’t let the mistakes you’ve made in the past define who you are now especially if you’ve spent the time & the energy to understand and correct the erroneous move(s) you may have made.

The haters, the resentful and the nefarious gossipers will always be there, for they are the ones that have not learned their lesson yet.
Rise above and stay in the light of love.

Much love to you all.
Rosie and Dennis

Keeping It Wild

The California Wolf Returns

It was such a powerful relief to receive this from my friend Amaroq Weiss via Facebook the other day, that I feel it should be shared.

For those of you that are not Facebook people and there are many, here are some direct links for you.

Book I’m Reading (still)

Werner Herzog: A Guide for the Perplexed: Conversations with Paul Cronin – purchase the book on Amazon here.
Werner Herzog on Wikipedia
Paul Cronin on Wikipedia

John Bleasdale (one of my favorite film critics) talks to Paul Cronin about his book on Werner Herzog.

Below is a wonderful podcast for anyone who enjoys taking a deeper dive into the art of writing a book or screenplay. It also explores the lives and insights of the remarkable individuals who roll the dice and transform this field from a mere career into a passionate way of life.

The podcast can be found here.

Heads up: Thick accent’s and little to zero intro as to what’s really going on in the podcast.. But if you know your cinematographers you’ll blend right in.

The Pranayama Podcast

I’m currently organizing three new podcasts that I’m really excited about:

Christina Allen, Sanjay Joshi and Sarah Donaldson

Next Public Event

It was nice to see some of you attend the Larkin Poe show at the House Of Blues in San Diego and also Brian Cox’s event at the Balboa Theater.

My next publicized traveling excursion will take me to Boulder, Colorado.
I will be attending Starry Night: A Voyage Across Space and Time with  Brian Greene.

What is the key reason why I like following Brian Greene?
A lot of academics get indoctrinated into the education system, only to believe that they can maintain an objective point of view and quite frankly I’m also tired of the unchecked, arrogant illusion of superiority that often goes along with the box-in institutionalized education.

It seems to me, Brian Green has done a good job, keeping that in check and still politically maneuvering up the ladder. Either that or he just does a better job at covering it all up.

In addition to the points mentioned above, the breath and diversity he brings to his conversations is particularly remarkable—clearly exemplified in his discussion with Lex Fridman. The podcast is available on YouTube and can be accessed here

The event in Boulder, Colorado can be found here.

After the event I will be then moving on to tap into the good mountain air vibe of Telluride, Colorado

p.s thank you Aubrey Hackman for the intro to Telluride oxox
